The KidKong Association is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) to bring its innovative ROBOKONG Electric Vehicle Education (E.V.E.) program to South Atlanta High School. Through ATDC’s sponsorship, KidKong Association is able to expand its mission of providing underserved youth with hands-on experience and insights into the electric vehicle (EV) industry, fostering the next generation of EV industry leaders.
ATDC’s support of the ROBOKONG E.V.E. program will help students gain essential knowledge and skills in EV technology through a curriculum that covers design, 3D printing, engineering, and even racing. The program is set to provide transformative opportunities for students at South Atlanta High School, equipping them with knowledge and skills that will prove invaluable in the burgeoning EV field.
Ward Broom, a key figure at ATDC, has been instrumental in establishing this partnership. His dedication to community and workforce development aligns perfectly with the KidKong Association’s goal of empowering youth through technical education and practical skill-building.
“We are immensely grateful to ATDC and Ward Broom for their belief in our vision,” said Kidd Kong, Executive Director of the KidKong Association. “This partnership opens doors for students to explore the future of transportation and technology. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Ward and the entire ATDC team as we bring the ROBOKONG E.V.E. program to life for South Atlanta High School students.”
The KidKong Association, which operates the Kong Center at J.D. Sims Recreation Center in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward, is committed to enriching the lives of underserved youth through programs that build character, confidence, and career-readiness. The addition of the ROBOKONG E.V.E. program at South Atlanta High School underscores this commitment, giving students an engaging, future-oriented curriculum that prepares them for the EV industry and beyond.
